The Process of Going Solar
Florida Roofing & Power has made the process of going solar simple and straightforward for Florida homeowners.
Once you decide to go solar here are the steps our team will walk with you through:
Consultation
During our initial meeting, we focus on understanding your specific goals for going solar. Homeowners have different motivations for choosing solar energy; some aim to reduce their electric bills, while others wish to go completely off the grid. Our role is to educate you on making informed decisions that align with your needs and objectives. We provide this guidance without resorting to high-pressure sales tactics, as we believe in creating a comfortable, pressure-free experience.
Site Evaluation
After the initial consultation and understanding your goals, our team will start evaluating your property. This includes measuring your roofing system, assessing its age and longevity, evaluating the direct sunlight on different sections of your roof, and examining your electrical system.
Custom Proposal
We aim to provide each homeowner with a custom proposal within 24-48 hours of our consultation. This proposal will offer an overview of the project, including a general design outline and the anticipated costs associated with going solar. While many companies advertise that solar installation is free, there is an investment involved. Even if your financed payment is $50-$150 per month cheaper than your current electric bill, it is still an investment.
Financing
We offer financing options for your solar project through Service Financial, providing great rates and flexible plans tailored to your individual needs. Many of our customers have found that their installment loan for both solar and a new roof results in a lower monthly payment than their current electric bill.
Permitting
We handle all permitting related to your solar project, including filing with the utility company, applying for engineering, and obtaining any necessary electrical and building permits required by your town or city. Additionally, we will file a certificate of completion with the utility company once your project is finished, allowing you to participate in the net metering program.
Scheduling
Our team will give you a projected timeframe for your project's completion. If your project includes both a new roofing system and solar installation, our crew will coordinate everything to ensure the entire project is completed with minimal disruption to your schedule.
